Our History

Cricklewood is a scenic eight acre orchard with a berry and produce farm located along the north shore of Lake Ontario. The farm has been in our family for over 150 years and once included a dairy. The present-day orchard was planted in the early 1900’s and continues to this day thanks to our regular maintenance and updating of our apple varieties.
Brent and Beth manage the orchard, corn maze and retail operation. Brent’s aunt and uncle, Doug and Mary, grow corn and soybeans on the rest of the farm.
In 1994 Beth and her Mom,  Lil, started selling apples from a picnic table on the north side of the orchard’s storage building for a few weekends in the fall. The business expanded quickly to include a roadside market and now grows raspberries, sweet corn, pumpkins, squash, tomatoes and gourds. Because of our commitment to providing quality produce and exceptional service, Cricklewood Farm has become one of the best pick-your-own operations in the area.

Lil was a major force in helping get Cricklewood to it’s present thriving state.  Sadly, in April of 2015, she passed away, and will be missed deeply by all of us and a great many of our customers and friends.

To add to the family experience Beth and Brent decided to add the corn mazes to the farm in 2001. Every year they create a new corn maze with a different design intended to challenge even the more experienced maze goers. We invite you to visit our farm for quality fresh produce and an enjoyable family adventure.
